Freddie Mac
The Capital Area Financial Network is deeply appreciative of the financial and programmatic support that Freddie Mac has provided. Freddie Mac was a significant sponsor of the work that the Nonprofit Roundtable of Greater Washington and Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments undertook on foreclosure independently. It was that support and work that helped bring the organizations together to create CAFN. Freddie Mac hosted and organized CAFN’s first official event, a regional counselor training on how to work with servicers.
Fannie Mae
Fannie Mae's financial support has been critical to the Capital Area Foreclosure Network's successful launch. Fannie Mae was a significant sponsor of the work that the Nonprofit Roundtable of Greater Washington and Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments undertook on foreclosure independently. Fannie Mae is also hosting CAFN's May 6th Renters and Foreclosure training. Rosie Allen Herring is a member of CAFN's Leadership Group.
NeighborWorks America
The Capital Area Financial Network is appreciative of the financial support provided by NeighborWorksAmericafor its work and for the participation of Tim Adams on itsLeadership Group. In addition, NeighborWorks America plans to support CAFN's work by providing increased access for Washington area housing counselors to training offered through the NeighborWorks Center for Homeownership Education & Counseling (NCHEC).
