Card Verification Code or CVC code is used to authenticate the cardholder and the payment card for cardless payments, especially for payments from internet merchants. Card companies call this code different (CVC, CVV, CID).
You can find the CVC code on the back of the card to the right of your signature pattern. When you pay by card over the Internet, you need to enter data such as:
So the CVC code is important and you won’t be able to do it without paying for it online. Don’t mistake it with your PIN code, you never enter anywhere when you pay by card on the Internet.
